Basic Biblical Hebrew by Victor Lieberman
The synagogue will be having another session of beginning Hebrew starting on Thursday evening, November 1, and running for 4 sessions (skipping a week for Thanksgiving). For those who may have participated in the earlier Hebrew language class and would like to refresh their knowledge, we will be using the same textbook, Simon & Anderson's "Teach Yourself to Read Hebrew." This 4 week class is designed to introduce the Hebrew alphabet, and teach how to read and pronounce Hebrew words. There is no grammar or vocabulary memorization, etc., involved in this introductory class.
To save time, textbooks will be available at the first class session to those who do not already own a copy. The cost for the book is $12.00. Synagogue members pay no additional fees for participating in classes. The class will also be open to non synagogue members for a fee of $50.00 (in addition to the cost of the text if needed).
Classes will meet Thursday evenings from 6 - 7:30, on November 1, 8, 15, & 29. Please call Victor Lieberman if you need a textbook and intend to purchase one at the first class session.
